About me...

Hello, my name's Lauren, I'm a qualified hairdresser currently learning Diploma level 3.
From the end of my schooling (about year 11) I've been constantly thinking about my career and which path will open which doors. My first initial career idea was animals. I was passionate about the wellbeing of animals. Nothing has changed about that. I still am. I researched deeply into different paths there are, what qualifications I needed, what each role included. The more I was researching the more I fell in love with the idea, I even started making goals for the future, until I did my work experience in a vets. It was only a week long and in that week I thoroughly enjoyed seeing who and what came through for our help, but how passionate I was about all kinds of animals I decided it was best if I looked at other career choices as it would have been very difficult to deal with some of the conditions the animals have been left in.
So, my next choices were the Armed forces (I know, quite a career change) then it moved to beauty therapy. But with all the choices I made, it helped me find my final choice.I found that with the armed forces it was the travelling and the importance of the role that I enjoyed the most. And beauty therapy I liked the idea of working with people,so I came up with the idea of being a hairdresser. With hairdressing I can travel, and work with people. I find that with hairdressing I will always have a career.
